Worship and prayer
Collective Worship
Collective worship is an important part of our school life and we engage in an act of Collective Worship every day. This is an opportunity for us all to come together, share in a prayer, readings, reflection and song, whether from a Christian faith background, another faith background or no faith background at all.
At the start of every week, our 'Open the Book' workship is led by a member of the church. Children take an active role in leading and participating, alongside the family of staff. Everyone of the school community is supported to develop their understanding of the Bible stories and how they related to their own lives and beliefs.
We believe that Collective Worship has the potential to unite the whole membership of the school and develop a sense of community.
It is an essentail part of our Christian Vision.

Prayer
Times for prayer are very important during our day at St. Aidan's CE Memorial Primary School. For many members of our school community it plays an important part in strengthening their relationship with God. For others it provides them with a calm, peaceful space to reflect and be still.
Our Christian Vision is lived out during our opportunities for Prayer throughout the school day.
