Dear Parent/Carer

As we approach the Christmas Season we would like to hold a couple of events that we feel the children will enjoy taking part in.

On Monday 7 December, Year 2 children are invited to attend a Bedtime Story event in school between 4.30pm and 5.15pm. On Tuesday 8 December, Year 1 children are invited to do the same! Children are encouraged to wear pyjamas and bring their favourite teddy to cuddle while they listen to some fantastic stories with their teachers!

On Wednesday 9 December we are inviting all pupils to take part in Save the Children’s Christmas Jumper Day. The whole school will be taking part, with everyone getting the chance to show the world their silly side by wearing their favourite festive knits for the day… but you don’t need to splash out on a snazzy new sweater to join in the fun – simply decorate an old woolly to create your own crafty masterpiece! If you would like to make a donation to help save children’s lives around the world, then please feel free to do so on the day. The money raised will help Save the Children and give the world’s forgotten children a brighter future. It could help bring essentials like healthcare, education, protection and food to the millions of children around the world who are missing out on the most basic support. With your support we are looking forward to a woolly great day!

Christmas parties are going ahead this year too, albeit in ‘bubbles’ and children are encouraged to come to school on the day dressed in party clothes, ready for a fun-filled day. School will provide party food for everyone and hopefully a great day will be had by all!

Christmas party dates this year are as follows:

Monday 14 December – Year 5 party

Tuesday 15 December – Year 3 party (am) and Year 6 party (pm)

Wednesday 16 December – Nursery party

Thursday 17 December – Year 1 party (am) and Year 4 party (pm)

Friday 18 December – Reception party (am) and Year 2 party (pm)

On Friday 18th December the school closes for the Christmas break and we will be having Toy Day as usual.

School will re-open on Monday 4th January 2021.

We look forward to seeing you over the Christmas Season.

Kind regards

News Update 6th September 2020

Dear Parents and Carers,

We are at the end of the first week back at school and the children have been delightful - happy to be back, keen to learn and enjoying their time.

We do however have a confirmed case of Coronavirus in school.  The individual was sent home upon showing symptoms and we immediately contacted Public Health England who carried out a full investigation with us.

Public Health England advised that as no child had been in close contact with the individual there was no need for any child to stay at home or self-isolate as a result.

I wish to reassure you all, that we continue to adhere to the strictest protective measures in school in line with Government guidance and Public Health England advice.

Of course I will update you with any developments going forwards.

Thank you for your continued support,

L Chambers

Variation To Admissions Policy - July 2020
